Show IH: Here's how I ship stuff. Hope that's helpful!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my daily work routine. This is highly inspired by @levelsio !

The quick answer is: I keep my tasks short. (example here: https://i.ibb.co/DfCx7WC/Screen-Shot-2019-06-03-at-09-13-36.png)

I keep a list of 6 to 10 short tasks per day (30-50 per week) that take on average about 30min to complete.

Here's how I do this:

✅ I build a list of tasks in the morning (takes me about 15min) and do not touch it for the rest of the day. I make sure I have the discipline to finish stuff. This is the most important. I refine it during evening / next day.
✅ At any point of the day, I can see what productive thing I can be doing right now. I just look at the list of tasks in front of me, pick one, work on it, get it done.
✅ It builds momentum, I saw that I was the least productive when I didn't have momentum, but once I work it is easier for me to do more tasks.
✅ It helps me get through bigger projects. I divide the project by smaller tasks. Action brings clarity on what other tasks I should be doing next vs. getting into a long project I get lost / demotivated.
✅ Helps you focus on what matters.
✅ And if you do a task that doesn't matter... it only took 30min of your time
✅ All in all I keep it extremely simple.

Hope that helped!

I do exactly the same -except I always make the list in the evening ready for the next day

I once used to make To-do lists and I followed only the part where I made the To-do lists every day. The items in it never got completed unfortunately due to uncontrollable circumstances.

This is super awesome. Looking forward to more from you. What is @levelsio's process you were inspired by?
